Mariko remodel

We are proud to work with our local community and to help bring families the homes they have dreamed about. This recently completed kitchen remodel was a treat to work on. We look forward to sharing some insights into the project from the homeowner and the beautiful photos from the project.

From the homeowner:

“My favorite experience working with LEICHT Seattle was the opportunity to be a part of the design process with Yuval. It was amazing to watch him bring our vision to life. Yuval's vast knowledge of the product helped refine our design decisions while remaining respectful of our budget.”

“When we're not working, we love to play with our two young daughters, cook, read, travel, host board game nights, and play competitive video games.”

“We are always in the kitchen cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks for our girls, and mixing craft cocktails in the evenings. Our favorite meals to cook are those that connect us to our cultural roots: Japanese sukiyaki and homemade Italian bolognese.”

“I never would have guessed, but my favorite part of the project is the garbage and recycling drawer in the kitchen. Yuval suggested adding this "minor enhancement" and recommended the location after understanding where we prep, cook, and eat. This one quality of life improvement has completely transformed our cooking experience in the kitchen.

Our design included tall cabinets with built-in electrical outlets hidden inside. This was intentional as it allows us to relocate all of our appliances (coffee maker, toaster, microwave) from the countertop to the cabinets, helping us retain a sophisticated, uncluttered look overall.”

“My husband's favorite features are the slow-close drawers throughout and the deep, beautiful sink that blends upscale aesthetics with everyday usability.”

“Color is very important to us! We truly feel like our kitchen is now an outward expression of who we are as people and we love living in a home that reflects our energy. Blue and teal are our favorite colors so it was only logical to bring them into the space. The color provides a bright playfulness to the kitchen while still having an air of elegance. Walking into the space brings us joy literally every day.”

Finishes: laminated frosty white, c-channel in matching color, matte lacquer in custom Le Corbusier blue colors, Julien fireclay sink, Neolith Arctic White counter.
