We chose to use Leicht Seattle as the general contractor for this job, which was a great decision. I know this was likely the more expensive choice, but I wanted to avoid the horror stories of contracting work out to friends or lowest-bidder contractors. Anthony was our point man for everything and I cannot sing his praises enough. Anthony is capable, trustworthy, and extremely professional. He was (and still is!) available literally 24/7, at a moment’s notice. His attention to detail and insistence on the highest standards blew me away. He truly gave us the white glove treatment and accepted nothing short of perfection from Leicht’s material quality to the craftsmanship of his subcontractors. Over 10 times during the remodel I messaged Anthony late at night with petty requests like “I’ve decided to change the height of these shelves”, “ensure all cabinet doors open and close silently”, or “help me dim this underlighting.” Anthony made me feel that these requests were important and he resolved them immediately the next morning. I always felt like his top priority.

However, nothing is perfect, and I want to be transparent to readers considering Leicht for their remodel. Leicht offers a premium product, with top-tier contractors, and the price tag is commensurate with this high degree of quality. If I were to do this again, I would be firmer with our budget. I recommend working with Yuval on this to make sure the sexy, cool features you want to add don’t break the bank.”

“We found YS Built through our kitchen designer (Brian Roberts) and knew we had found a good match. Owner Yuval’s design aesthetic and the Leicht cabinet line were very much our style. We ended up really liking all the firms/materials they helped us identify for doors, windows,sinks, appliances, lighting, floors etc.

We found the YS architect thoughtful and talented - we had an initial design but needed to make quite a few modifications as we talked through ideas with Yuval. We also came to really value our onsite project manager who was talented, trustworthy and creative.

In the end we took out a huge wall, popped up the ceiling, added a big beam, re-did many doors and windows (including relocation), and also re-doing a landing area, entry way and part of our deck.

“The design and installation services were fantastic. The wait for shipping was definitely worth it and we would do it again. The quality of the cabinetry and thoughtfulness of the layout, drawer inserts and suggested options such as the trash can drawers makes it a joy to work in the kitchen. “Our home is a ranch style built in 1965 and was in need of a kitchen remodel. We hired an interior designer to design the entire layout of the kitchen first, then we worked with Yuval to further design and refine the kitchen layout with concern to the style and material of the cabinets. His team was fully in charge of the installation of the cabinets and countertops for our kitchen. During both design and installation process, Yuval is pleasant and patient to work with, and has a great eye for design and details. He worked with us to find a good balance between what we wanted and our budget, and we are very happy where we ended up. We hired Yuval for our kitchen cabinets before his showroom in Pioneer square was open. We recently stopped in and it is beautiful and inspiring with his mix of cabinet materials and art. The showroom does a really nice job showing capabilities and finishes, and I feel we would have made a few different choices on our kitchen if the showroom was open when we started our project.
